OpenWengo is a communication tool based on the SIP protocol, developed by the OpenWengo community and released under the GNU General Public License. It is more than just VoIP software: it is a full-fledged communications tool that lets you enjoy free calls, video conferencing, SMS, chat over many existing protocols (MSN, AIM/ICQ, Yahoo!, Jabber)... Everything you need to stay in touch with your friends and family!

Contact List The main window lets you access your buddy list, add/find a contact, check your call history, modify your status or adjust your audio and video settings. Contacts from several different instant messaging services are merged into one contact list, and their presence status is displayed in an uniform way.

Chat Session Chat features include your choice of font type/color, a selection of expressive emoticons and typing state notification. Chating through all instant messaging protocols supported is completely transparent, you don't need to think about who is using which protocol!
